Before continuing, we would like to make you aware of the Morris Arboretum policies. Please read each policy and check the designated box indicating that you accept and understand these policies.
Absolutely no late entries. Scarecrows will not be accepted after 4PM on September 29.
Registration is per scarecrow entry, not participant. Scarecrows can be made solo or with a group but you only need to register for the number of scarecrows you plan to enter in the contest.
All scarecrows will be displayed outdoors for a month, so design materials should be as weatherproof as possible. The Morris reserves the right to remove any scarecrow that has deteriorated to an unacceptable level during that period. Scarecrows must be designed as family friendly, or they will not be accepted for display. Please note: scarecrows may not contain corporate logos or other marketing identifiers. No modern political figures or statements. Please do not include any signage or stand-alone materials with your scarecrow. The Morris will provide signage identifying participant name and the name of each scarecrow. The Morris will determine the location of all scarecrows and install them. Public voting on favorite scarecrows will happen on-site October 1 through October 17. The Morris Arboretum & Gardens reserves the right to use photographs, contact names, and scarecrow names for publicity purposes. The Morris also reserves the right to remove any scarecrow from display, at any time, for any reason, and without refund.
